-
On the File menu, select Export, and then select Create a Video.
-
Under Create a Video, use the first option to choose the video quality.
-
Under Create a Video, use the second option to choose whether to use or not use the slide timings and narration you may have already made.
If you select Don't Use Recorded Timings and Narrations, then set a time value for Seconds spent on each slide.
-
Select Create Video, then specify a file name and format (.mp4 or .wmv) and then select Save.
-
Wait a few minutes for the file to be saved in video format.
Tips:Â
-
For more thorough details about the process, see Turn your presentation into a video.
-
Want to customize the slide timings and add narration? See Record a slide show with narration and timings.
-
Go to File > Export. (Don't use Save As, because it doesn't offer video options.)
-
Open the File Format list and select the video format you want (MP4 or MOV).
-
Select the video quality you want: Presentation Quality, Internet Quality, or Low Quality. The higher the video quality, the larger the file size.
-
If you have recorded timings and want to use them in the video you create from your presentation, make sure the box next to Use Recorded Timings and Narrations is checked. You can also choose to set the amount of time the video will spend on each slide if you don't have a set timing.
-
When you've made all your selections, choose Export.
You can't save your presentation as a video in PowerPoint for the web, unfortunately. But you can if you buy and install the desktop app. After it's installed, select the File menu at the top, and then Save as in Desktop App.
