In Microsoft OneNote on iPad and iPhone you can search through all of your notes to find what you’re looking for.

Note: Unfortunately, OneNote for iPad or iPhone does not currently have a search-and-replace feature. You can only search for text using one keyword at a time.

  1. On any page of any notebook, tap the magnifying glass icon Magnifying glass icon in the upper left corner of the app.

  2. Type a keyword or phrase into the search box at the top of the screen, and then tap Search.

Note: If you're using OneNote on an iPad, you can tap All Notebooks and then select whether OneNote should search within the current notebook or only within the current section.

  3. In the list of results, tap the page on which your search text is found and OneNote will navigate to that page.

On your iPad, each instance of the keyword or phrase will be highlighted on the page.

  4. Tap Done to close the search pane.

  1. From the bottom of the notebook list, section list, or page list, tap Search.

  2. In the Search box, type a search word or phrase, and then press Search on the keyboard.

  3. Tap the Notebooks tab to see search results in your notebooks.

Tap the Sticky Notes tab to see search results in your sticky notes.

  4. To return to the Notes List, tap Cancel in the Search box.
