Open the library with the item whose history you want to view.

Right-click the file name, then select Version history.
(If you don't see Version history, select More, and then select Version history.)

Under Version history, you can see who modified the file and when, the size of that version, and whether there was a check-in comment.Â

To view a particular version of a file, In the Modified column, click the date link for that version.Â
Tip: If you want to reinstate an earlier version of the file, you can select the arrow next to the date link, and then select Restore. SharePoint doesn't remove the earlier version you just restored. It creates a copy of it and makes it the latest version in the history list.Â
