Teams only uses one background at a time for video meetings, chats, and calls. 

From a video chat or call:

  1. Select More actions (Generic Ellipsis button) and choose Video effects and settings.

  2. Select an image under Backgrounds or Filters, or select  Add new background icon Add new, Blur button icon Standard blur, Teams decorate your background button Decorate, or  No symbol imageNone.

  3. Choose Preview to view. Select Apply or X from Meet now.

Before a video chat or call:

  1. Select  Teams Effects and Avatars icon Effects and avatars on the desktop, or  Shows background filter button iconBackground effects online.

  2. Select an image under Backgrounds or choose More video effects for a larger gallery. 

  3. There are also options to Add new background icon Add new, Blur button icon Standard blur, Teams decorate your background button Decorate, or  No symbol imageNone. To use a personal image, see Add a custom background image.

Tip:  Meet now icon Meet now provides a private way to experiment with backgrounds offline.
