You have multiple accounts
Choose the account you want to sign in with.
  1. On the Insert tab, select Page numbers button Page Numbers.

  2. Select a page number location style.

  3. Check Include Page Count.

Word for Mac doesn't directly support showing the total number of pages, but here is a workaround: 

  1. Double-click in the header or footer area to open it.

  2. On the Header & Footer tab, select Insert field button Field.

  3. Under Categories, select Document Information.

  4. Press tab to Field names, select NumPages. Select  Close header button icon Close Header and Footer to exit.

Tip: If you are putting individual page numbers, add of and the field to the right of the page number. This will show in a format of Page 2 of 5.
