We’ve found that users with a very large amount of old emails on their phone can encounter sluggish performance. We’ve identified the issue and made optimizations over the last couple of days. We believe we have this issue addressed.
However, as a last resort, if this continues, please do the following:

Open the Watch app on iPhone and uninstall the Outlook app from the Watch.

Force close the Outlook app on your Phone.

Use the Watch app to reinstall the Outlook app on the Watch.

Re-launch the Outlook app on your Phone.
