Use the Custom Fields tab on the Task Information dialog box to view and assign values to custom task fields and outline codes.
You can also use this dialog box to view and assign values to task enterprise custom fields and enterprise outline codes.

In any task view, click the task, and then click Task Information 
Details
General task information
Name Shows the name of the selected task. You can enter another task name in the Name box to change it.
Duration Specifies the amount of time needed to complete the selected task. You can enter duration in minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months. To enter an estimated duration, type a question mark after the duration unit, or select the Estimated check box.
Estimated Specifies that the selected task has an estimated or tentative duration. Estimated durations are indicated by a question mark (?) after the time unit in a duration field.
Custom Fields table
Custom Field Name Displays custom task fields that you have created in the Custom Fields dialog box.
Value Displays values for the custom task fields or outline codes for the selected task. You can enter or change values in the entry bar or directly in the table.
Notes:

On this tab, you can edit values but not the custom fields themselves. To make changes to custom fields or lookup table values, use the Custom Fields dialog box.

If you need to change an enterprise custom field, you can make changes only with the required permissions. Enterprise custom fields are part of the enterprise global template.
