Turn colored underlining on or off

Automatic spelling and grammar checking highlights mistakes with underlines in red and blue.

1. To turn it on or off, go to the File tab, select Options and choose Proofing.

2. Scroll down to the bottom section, and select or clear:
   • Mark grammar errors as you type.
   • Check spelling as you type. 

3. Select OK.

2. Under Spelling and Grammar select or clear:
   • Check spelling as you type. 
   • Mark grammar errors as you type.

3. Close Proofing and Preferences.

1. On the Review tab, select the down arrow by   Check Slide.

2. Select  Hide Proofing Errors to turn off colored lines.
