As work becomes more collaborative and distributed, it can be hard to keep track of changes in lists, forms, and libraries. To help you manage changes, we'll notify you in special cases, such as when:

  • You or someone you work with created a rule for a list or a library in Microsoft Lists, Microsoft Teams, or SharePoint, and set it up to notify you when things change. If you have permission, you can edit rules or delete rules.

  • Someone @mentions you in a comment on a list item. (@mention means they used the @ symbol in front of your name to tag you in the comment.)

  • You subscribed to email notifications on forms in Microsoft Lists under Settings within a form and enabled Notify me. Enabling this setting lets you receive a new email for every new response on the form.

These notifications are designed to draw your attention to important changes in your lists, forms in your lists, or libraries and make it easier to stay aware of these changes.
