Sending limits in Outlook.com. Important: From February 1, 2023, we are making changes to storage. Learn more. To help protect against abuse by spammers, Outlook.com limits the number of email messages that you can send in a single day, as well as the number of recipients for a single message.

If you want to use a new email address with your existing Outlook.com account, follow the instructions in this article to create an email alias. This will give you an additional email address that uses the same inbox, contact list, and account settings as your primary email address.

Outlook (or Office Outlook) is the Microsoft desktop email client. It can be used with Outlook.com email addresses or with any other email addresses. Everything else—including Outlook Express, MSN Mail, and Windows Live Mail—is no longer relevant unless you're using outdated versions of Windows.

Try the Instructions for classic Outlook on the web. At the top of the page, select Settings > Mail > Automatic replies. Select the Turn on automatic replies toggle. Select the Send replies only during a time period check box, and then enter a start and end time.

Safe Senders in Outlook.com. To ensure messages from known addresses or domains don't get moved to your Junk Email folder, add them to your safe senders list: Open your Safe Senders settings. Under Safe senders and domains, enter the email address or domain you want to add, and select Add.

In Outlook, you can import events from an .ics file to your existing calendar or subscribe to an iCal calendar online and receive automatic updates. Tips: You can import calendars from websites or calendar programs that support the .ics file format, such as Apple iCal, Google Calendar, and Mozilla Lightning.
