Chat with a bot in a channel or group chat. Bots can contribute to channel and group chat conversations, such as providing important updates or helping a team organize its work. Typically, you or someone else @mentions a bot to interact with it, but some bots can play a more proactive role in conversations.

Block or remove a bot in Microsoft Teams. To stop a bot from participating in a one-on-one chat, first find the chat name in your chat list, then click More options > Mute. If you want to remove a bot entirely from a channel, find the channel name, then click More options > Manage team.

If you are added to a GroupMe group by SMS, you can use these commands in the group: #help - Sends you a text with the basic commands you might have forgotten. #add [name] [phone] - Follow the "#add" command with a person’s name and phone number to add them to the group.
