If your system is asking you for your BitLocker recovery key, the following information may help you locate your recovery key and understand why you're being asked to provide it. Important: Microsoft support is unable to provide, or recreate, a lost BitLocker recovery key.

Automatically update Windows 10, Windows 11, and Surface drivers and firmware. After following the preparation steps, see Update Windows to learn how to check for updates and install them. Or select the Check for Windows updates button below to open Windows Update in Settings. Check for Windows updates.

Cast to a display from a Windows PC. You can wirelessly connect your PC to a TV, projector, or other kind of external display that supports Miracast. Turn on your TV, projector, or other display. If you're using a Miracast dongle or adapter, make sure it's plugged in to the display.

Change screen brightness in Windows. Select the Network icon on the right side of the taskbar, and then move the Brightness slider to adjust the brightness. (If the slider isn't there, see the Notes section below.)

Sign in to SharePoint. SharePoint is a browser-based app that you connect to through your web browser, like so: Go to office.com, and sign in to your work or school account. In the upper left corner of the window, select the app launcher > All apps > SharePoint.

Download Microsoft Authenticator. Important: Microsoft no longer supports Authenticator versions that are more than one year old. Always keep your device up to date. Android iOS.

Voice typing commands. Use voice typing commands to quickly edit text by saying things like "delete that" or "select that". The following list tells you what you can say. To view supported commands for other languages, change the dropdown to your desired language.

Enable Windows 10 programs such as Windows Media Player to support activities that include the playback and recording of multimedia files that are encoded with standards-based codecs. Movies & TV: An app that's used to play digital video. Windows Voice Recorder: An app that's used to record sounds.

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select Device Manager from the menu.
