Before you begin. Driver updates for Windows, along with many devices, such as network adapters, monitors, printers, and video cards, are automatically downloaded and installed through Windows Update. You probably already have the most recent drivers, but if you'd like to manually update or reinstall a driver, here's how: Update the device driver.

DirectX is a set of components in Windows that allows software, primarily and especially games, to work directly with your video and audio hardware. Windows 11. If a driver for your device couldn’t be automatically installed, there may be an optional driver available that your printer can use. You can check by following the steps below: Select Start > Settings > Windows Update. Select Check for updates at the top of the page.

Security Windows 10. You are receiving this message because the Memory Integrity setting in Windows Security is preventing a driver from loading on your device. Here are a few options you can try if you want to be able to use this driver: See if an updated and compatible driver is available through Windows Update or from the driver manufacturer.

If you downloaded an executable (.exe) file, just double-click the file to run it and install the drivers. That should be all you need to do. If you downloaded individual files, and at least one file has an .inf file name extension and another has a .sys extension, do the following:

To check which version of DirectX is on your PC using the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, select the Start button and type dxdiag in the search box, then press Enter. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, select the System tab, then check the DirectX version number under System Information .
