Additionally, this new version provides great support for the latest rendering capabilities, modern web applications, and powerful developer tools across all supported OS platforms.

In the browser, go to Settings and more > About Microsoft Edge (edge://settings/help). Depending on where you purchased your device, you may see one or both of following toggles: Download and install updates automatically. Download updates over metered connections. Turn on any available toggles to always allow automatic downloads of updates.

This update includes the following quality improvements: The new Microsoft Edge will be pinned to the taskbar and add a shortcut to the desktop. If your current version of Microsoft Edge already has a shortcut, it will be replaced. The new Microsoft Edge will not replace Internet Explorer.
