The Microsoft Edge feature that blocks pop-ups is effective in preventing websites from automatically opening a new window or tab, or a partial window on top of your current web page. This feature is turned on by default.

Each release of the tool helps detect and remove current, prevalent malicious software. This malicious software includes viruses, worms, and Trojan horses. Microsoft uses several metrics to determine the prevalence of a malicious software family and the damage that can be associated with it.

The most common type is a physical, external keyboard that plugs into your PC. But Windows has a built-in Accessibility tool called the On-Screen Keyboard (OSK) that can be used instead of a physical keyboard. You don’t need a touchscreen to use the OSK.

Go to Settings and more > Settings . In the left navigation, select Site permissions. In Site permissions, select Adobe Flash. Set the toggle on for the Ask before running Flash option. The Block and Allow lists will be available after you visit a site that uses Flash.

Choose the power mode that works for you and what you want to do on your Windows 11 PC. This lets you determine what’s important to you—getting the best battery life, best performance, or a balance between the two. To change the power mode, select Start > Settings > System > Power & battery.

Find your notifications. Windows 11 puts notifications in Notification Center—right on the taskbar—where you can get to them instantly. Notifications at a glance. Select the date and time in the taskbar to open the Notification Center.

Make text bigger on your screen. If the text size feels too small when navigating through Windows, you can make the text bigger. This affects, for example, title bars, menus, and icon texts. To go to the Accessibility settings on your computer, press the Windows logo key+U or select Start > Settings > Accessibility. Select Text size.

To make a call on your PC: Open the Phone Link and select Calls. In the Search your contacts box, search for a contact name or number. Alternately, you can directly enter a phone number on the dial pad. Select the Dial icon to start your call.
