There's no charge to switch out of S mode. To switch out of S mode, click here to open the Microsoft Store to the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page. On the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page, select the Get button. After you see a confirmation message on the page, you'll be able to install apps from outside of the Microsoft Store.

Use a USB cable to connect your device to the PC. In the search box on the taskbar, type photos and then select the Photos app from the results. Select Import from the app bar. Your devices will automatically show under Import. Choose your device from the list of connected devices. Wait for the content to load from your device.

Cast to a Windows PC from another Windows PC. On the PC you'd like to project from, select Start > Settings > System > Projecting to this PC . Under Add the “Wireless Display” optional feature to project to this PC, select Optional features . Next to Add an optional feature, select View features, then enter “wireless display.”.

Record game clips and take screenshots. While you’re playing a game, press the Windows logo key + G to open Game Bar. Choose Widget Menu > Capture. Choose Start recording, Take screenshot, or Record last…. Record last… turns the most recent moments of play into a game clip when background recording is turned on.

Check the Xbox services, games, and apps for any service outages.

Press the Start button , and then enter Xbox into the search bar. Choose the Xbox app from the results to open the app. Select your gamerpic, and then select Settings. Select Redeem under Redeem a code. Enter the 25-character code, select Next, and then follow the prompts. Note You can’t redeem a code on the Xbox app for mobile at this time.

Transfer photos from an iPhone to your PC. First, connect your iPhone to a PC with a USB cable that can transfer files. Turn your phone on and unlock it. Your PC can’t find the device if the device is locked. Select Import > From a USB device, then follow the instructions. You can pick the items you want to import and select where to save them.

Install the S/MIME control. Go to Settings > Mail > S/MIME. Look for To use S/MIME, you need to install the S/Mime control. To install it, click here. Select Click here. Note: If you receive an encrypted message before you've installed the S/MIME control, you’ll be prompted to install the control when you open the message.

Manage your Xbox subscription. Game Pass Ultimate or a supported free to play game is required for cloud gaming.

Follow the prompts to install or reinstall the desktop apps. For Microsoft 365 Family or Personal subscriptions: Select Install premium Microsoft 365 apps and follow the prompts to install or reinstall the desktop apps. On the Microsoft 365 subscription tab, select Manage. From here you can: Renew your subscription with a prepaid code or card.
