If you run into problems trying to connect to a Bluetooth device, here are some troubleshooting steps to try. Note: For general info about how to connect a Bluetooth device to your PC, see Pair a Bluetooth device in Windows.

If your system is asking you for your BitLocker recovery key, the following information may help you locate your recovery key and understand why you're being asked to provide it. Important: Microsoft support is unable to provide, or recreate, a lost BitLocker recovery key.

How to open PC Health Check. In Windows, use Search on the taskbar to search for “PC Health Check,” then select it from the list of results. If a PC Health Check update is available, you can quickly install it for the latest version.

Sending a message. If you haven't already set up messages, do the following: On your PC, in the Phone Link, select Messages. To start a new conversation, select New message. Enter the name or phone number of a contact. Select the person you want to send a message to. A new message thread opens for you to begin with.

Check the Xbox services, games, and apps for any service outages.

Add a way to verify sign-in to your Microsoft account. Sign in to the Advanced security options page of your Microsoft Account. Sign in. Select Add a new way to sign in or verify then choose how you would like to receive security codes. Note: VOIP numbers cannot be added as a way to sign in or get verification codes.

You can link your social media account in one of two ways: Use the Xbox mobile app to scan the QR code. Select the Link option which will launch the Microsoft Edge app on Xbox. You can choose to link your Discord, Reddit, Steam, Twitch, or other social media account.

Microsoft Edge makes it easy to save your passwords as you browse the web. When you enter a new password in the Edge browser on your desktop or mobile device, Microsoft Edge will ask if you want your username and password remembered.
