Turn off picture compression - Microsoft Support

Change the default resolution for inserting pictures in Office

If you don't see a setting you're looking for, try searching for it in the search box on the taskbar. Open Display settings.

You can use Sharpen and Soften to enhance picture details or make pictures more appealing by removing unwanted blemishes on a picture. The sharper the image, the greater the contrast along the edges of objects in the picture and the softer the image the fuzzier the picture.

Photo viewer for Windows 10 - Microsoft Support
Windows Photo Viewer isn't part of Windows 10, but if you upgraded from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, you might still have it. To check, press and hold (or right-click) a photo in File Explorer, and select Open with. If Windows Photo Viewer isn't in the list, you cannot install it on Windows 10.
