Here are some ways to deal with phishing and spoofing scams in Outlook.com. Spoof Intelligence from Microsoft 365 Advanced Threat Protection and Exchange Online Protection help prevent phishing messages from reaching your Outlook inbox.

Manage your Microsoft 365 subscription or Office product. You can manage all of your Microsoft subscriptions in your Microsoft account dashboard. Select each subscription to change when and how you pay, or to see order history & receipts. Choose your account type.

You can set up an authenticator app to send a notification to your mobile device or to send you a verification code as your security verification method. You aren't required to use the Microsoft Authenticator app, and you can select a different app during the set up process.

From the Overview page, select Office apps and on that page, find the Microsoft 365 product you want to install and select Install. To install Microsoft 365 in a different language, or to install the 64-bit version, use the dropdown to find more options.

Select File > Options > Mail. Under Send Messages, check the box Always use the default account when composing new messages. Select OK. When you have set up multiple email accounts, you can choose which account to use when you send a message.

Use the Office offline installer to install Office 2016 or Office 2013 if you don't have an active Internet connection or you're having problems with slow speed or unreliable connections.

Sign in using Microsoft Authenticator. Microsoft Authenticator helps you sign in to your accounts if you've forgotten your password, use two-step verification or multi-factor authentication, or have gone passwordless on your account.

By setting up MFA, you add an extra layer of security to your Microsoft 365 account sign-in. For example, you first enter your password and, when prompted, you also type a dynamically generated verification code provided by an authenticator app or sent to your phone.

Locate your product key for Windows 10 or Windows 11. Depending on how you got your copy of Windows 10 or Windows 11, you'll need either a 25-character product key or a digital license to activate it.
