The Microsoft Authenticator app helps you sign into your accounts when you're using two-step verification.

If your system is asking you for your BitLocker recovery key, the following information may help you locate your recovery key and understand why you're being asked to provide it. Important: Microsoft support is unable to provide, or recreate, a lost BitLocker recovery key.

Getting to the People App. To access the app, go to View more apps on the left side of Teams. Search for “people” or select it from the list of preinstalled apps. Pin it to your left navigation pane by right-clicking People, and then selecting Pin.

You can set up an authenticator app to send a notification to your mobile device or to send you a verification code as your security verification method. You aren't required to use the Microsoft Authenticator app, and you can select a different app during the set up process.

If you want to stop a file or folder from syncing or backing up, you can pause the upload or download. See Stop syncing temporarily below for details. If uploads or downloads with the OneDrive website are taking too long, or you selected the wrong files, they can be cancelled.

Here's how to download apps and games so you can get up and running right away. Open Microsoft Store. To get a game or app from Microsoft Store: To see more of any category, select Show all at the end of the row. Select the app or game you'd like to download, and then select Get.

Switch voice typing languages. To switch voice typing languages, you'll need to change the input language you use. Here's how: Select the language switcher in the corner of your taskbar. Press the language switcher in the bottom right of the touch keyboard.
