Dictation lets you use speech-to-text to author content in Office with a microphone and reliable internet connection. Use your voice to quickly create documents, emails, notes, presentations, or even slide notes.

To get someone's attention in a channel conversation or a chat, @mention them. Just type @ before their name and then select them from the menu that appears.. When an @mention recipient receives a notification, selecting it takes them directly to the point in the conversation where they were mentioned.

Note To use many of the Xbox features within Game Bar, including Xbox Social features, you must have the Xbox app for Windows installed. To use Xbox Social features, sign in to Game Bar with your Microsoft account. Press the Windows logo key + G to open Game Bar, choose Settings > Accounts, select Sign in, and then follow the steps.

To help make sure your message gets noticed, mark it as important or urgent. Select Set delivery options underneath the box where you type your message.

When you're ready, select the round, red Record button, wait for the countdown, then start speaking. To record from a specific slide, go to it, and then select Record.
