Windows 10. Optimizing your drives can help your PC run smoother and boot up faster. To optimize them: Select the search bar on the taskbar and enter defrag. Select Defragment and Optimize Drives. Select the disk drive you want to optimize. Select the Optimize button.

At the top corner of the browser, select Settings and more > Settings . To change appearance, select Appearance and make the changes you want to your default theme, zoom, toolbar, and fonts. To change startup behavior, select On startup, and then select what you want Microsoft Edge to display on startup.

If you don't have a desktop PC and the slider doesn't appear or work, try updating the display driver. Select Search on the taskbar, type Device Manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results.In Device Manager, select Display adapters, then select the display adapter.Press and hold (or right-click) the display adapter name, then select Update driver and follow the instructions.

On another Windows PC or other device, connect to Wi-Fi as you normally would, and enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted. For more info about connecting to Wi-Fi, see Connect to a Wi-Fi network in Windows.

Windows 11 Windows 10. To open up your webcam or camera, select the Start button, then select All apps, and then select Camera in the list of apps. If you have multiple cameras, you can switch between them by selecting Change Camera at the top right once the Camera app is opened. Open Camera.

You can easily insert a check mark (also known as a "tick mark") in Word, Outlook, Excel, or PowerPoint. These marks are static symbols. In your file, place the cursor where you want to insert the symbol.

Turn password saving on or off. Select Settings and more > Settings . Select Profiles > Passwords > Settings . Under Passwords, set Offer to save passwords to On or Off as desired. Note: Turning off password saving doesn't delete previously saved passwords.

Connect your keyboard. Press and hold the pair button on the bottom of the keyboard for 5 seconds, until the LED starts to flash. On your Windows 11 PC, select Connect if a notification appears for your keyboard, then wait for it to get set up. Don’t see the notification?

Modify default settings for a camera. Select Start . Type manage cameras in the search bar on the Start menu, and then select Manage cameras from the results. Select the camera from the list of connected cameras. Windows will start the camera, display a preview, and show controls to adjust various settings. Use the controls and adjust the image.
