Closing a Microsoft account means you won’t be able to use it to sign in to any Microsoft products or services, including Outlook.com or Hotmail, OneDrive, Xbox, Skype, Office or Microsoft 365, Rewards and Microsoft Certification. You will also lose access to any saved BitLocker recovery keys.

If you don't see the deleted messages you want to recover, they have probably been permanently removed from the Deleted Items folder or Junk Email folder. We don't recommend that you use either of these folders to store your messages. If you want to store your messages in folders other than your Inbox, see Working with message folders.

The user account name on a Windows device shows the name of the signed-in Microsoft account or work/school account. To change which user is signed in, select the Start button on the taskbar. Then select the account name icon or picture to see a list of users you can switch to.

Note: If you start to play a DVD or VCD in the Player Library, the Player automatically switches to Now Playing mode. The Blu-ray Disc format is not supported in Windows Media Player. To play a Blu-ray Disc, you need to use a non-Microsoft program that supports Blu-ray playback and a device capable of reading Blu-ray Discs.

If your printer isn't responding, downloading and installing the latest printer driver can often resolve these problems. Install the latest printer driver. Here are several ways to update your printer driver. Use Windows Update. Windows Update might find an updated version of your printer driver. To use it:

Windows will let you know if you need to restart your device to complete an update, and you can choose a time that works best for you to complete that update.

If your PC isn’t able to find or install updates, the Windows Update troubleshooter might be able to fix the problem. Select the Start button, and then select Control Panel. In the search box, enter troubleshooter and then select Troubleshooting from the list of results.

In Outlook, the message recipient can decline to send read receipts. There are other scenarios where read receipts are not sent, such as if the recipient's email program doesn’t support read receipts. There is no way to force a recipient to send a read receipt.
