Using structured references with Excel tables - Microsoft Support
All column headers are text strings But they don’t require quotes when they’re used in a structured reference. Numbers or dates, such as 2014 or 1/1/2014, are also considered text strings. You can’t use expressions with column headers. For example, the expression DeptSalesFYSummary[[2014]:[2012]] won’t work.

Align text left or right, center text, or justify text on a page
Center the text vertically between the top and bottom margins. Select the text that you want to center. On the Layout or Page Layout tab, click the Dialog Box Launcher in the Page Setup group, and then click the Layout tab. In the Vertical alignment box, click Center.

You cannot center the text in a column of an inserted table in Word
Select the text that you want to center, and then click Paragraph on the Format menu. On the Indents and Spacing tab, change the setting in the Alignment box to Centered, and then click OK. Note In Microsoft Office Word 2007, click the Paragraph Dialog Box Launcher. On the Indents and Spacing tab, change the setting in the Alignment box to Centered, and then click OK.
