This article applies if you’ve recently made changes to your device hardware and are trying to upgrade to Windows 11. Hardware changes might affect your upgrade eligibility, though you’ll need to take a few steps to see your updated eligibility in Settings.

Make sure any 3rd-party Office add-ins that you rely on are stated as being Office 2010 and 64-bit compatible. Possible backward incompatibility is why, if in doubt, stay with the 32-bit version. Insert the Office 2010 installation disc.

Tip: If you installed the Microsoft 365 apps as part of a suite, such as Office Home and Student or Microsoft 365, search for the suite name.For stand-alone apps search by the app name, such as Project or Visio. In most cases you can't uninstall an individual app if it's included in your Microsoft 365 suite.

If you're running Windows 8.1 or earlier, or if your PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements to run Windows 11, consider moving to a new Windows 11 device. Find a PC that meets your needs. If you forgot your PIN and need to reset it, you can do so from the Windows sign-in screen. Look below the PIN text box: If you see I forgot my PIN , select it and follow the instructions to reset your PIN.If there are multiple accounts on the device, choose the one you need to reset.
