If you selected the Share button, people will receive an email message inviting them to open the file. They can select the link to open the workbook. A web browser will open, and the workbook will open in Excel for the web. If they want to use the Excel desktop app to co-author, they can select Edit in Desktop App.However, they'll need a version of the Excel app that supports co-authoring.

Type in the Search bar. Here's how: Select the Search icon or the Search bar on your taskbar. Type your chat prompt into the Search bar or Search box. (Do not press Enter .) Select the Chat button in the upper left of the Search box. The new Bing will open in your browser with your chat prompt already entered for you.

Office for the web programs are included in most Microsoft 365 plans. Click a document, or use the three-dot Open Menu in a library to open Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and PDF files in your browser. Outlook attachments and Lync Web App meeting notes also open in Office for the web.

Notes: This feature is not supported if you sign in with a work/school account. If you use an authenticator app or other multifactor sign in, you will need an app password to sign in.. Select a cell and enter a formula. Place the cursor where you want to use the name in that formula. Type the first letter of the name, and select the name from the list that appears. Or, select Formulas > Use in Formula and select the name you want to use. Press Enter.
