The Xbox app on PC relies on two Microsoft accounts: the Microsoft Store account, and the Xbox profile (your PC gaming account). The Microsoft Store account provides access to owned games, subscription benefits, and other Xbox app purchases made by that account.

After you complete achievements and challenges on your Xbox console, you can claim rewards and raise your gamerscore. To successfully unlock achievements and challenges, make sure that the following are true:

Controller serial numbers are 14 characters long and don't include dashes. Your controller serial number may not be recognised if you've never connected your controller, or if you connected for the first time within the last 48 hours.; If you have the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, the 14-character serial number is in the lower centre on the back of the controller.
