If you open an Office file from your recent files list via the Taskbar or the Office app, you will need to open the file as described above to enable AutoSave.. To find Sync settings, select Start , then select Settings > Accounts > Sync your settings . Choose from settings such as language preferences, passwords, and color themes. If you turn on Other Windows settings, Windows also syncs some device settings (for things like printers and mouse options), File Explorer settings, and notification preferences.

The circular arrows over the OneDrive or OneDrive for work or school notification icons signify that sync is in progress. This includes when you are uploading files, or OneDrive is syncing new files from the cloud to your PC.
