There are a number of possible explanations for why verification codes don't always arrive. Read through the list of the most common causes, and see if any of them apply to you, or use our troubleshooter to help guide you.

Install Office 2007. Insert your Office 2007 CD into the drive. If the setup wizard doesn’t start automatically, navigate to the CD drive and click SETUP.EXE.

Use the People page in Outlook.com to view, create, and edit contacts and contact lists. Create new contacts from scratch, or add someone as a contact from an email message.

Creating a passkey. To create a passkey for your Microsoft account, follow these steps on the device for which you’d like to create a passkey:

The dialog that appears varies depending on whether you had the Add Apps or Get Add-ins option available to you. If you selected Add Apps, the Apps dialog appears. If you selected Get Add-ins, the Add-Ins for Outlook dialog appears. Search for the add-in you want from the available list.
