To increase security and performance, Windows 11 in S mode only runs apps from the Microsoft Store. If you want to install an app that isn't available in the Microsoft Store, or if you have Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, or Education and want to upgrade to Windows 11, you'll need to permanently switch out of S mode.

Troubleshooting problems signing into Skype. If you’re having problems signing in, first make sure you’re using the latest version of Skype, your system meets the minimum requirements for running Skype, and that you have the latest software updates and hardware drivers for your computer.This usually solves most sign-in issues.

Notes: You can add up to 10 different ways to verify sign-in, choosing from: An email address or phone number. It doesn't have to be yours - you just need to be able to access it if you want to use it to verify your account.

In Input settings, look at Input volume while speaking into the microphone. If the bar moves while you speak, your microphone is working properly.

Tips: While signing in, select Yes at the "Stay signed in?" prompt if you want to go straight to your mailbox next time (not recommended for shared computers). Alternatively, check the "Don't show this again" box and select No to be prompted for your password each time..
