Windows 11 in S mode is designed for security and performance, exclusively running apps from the Microsoft Store. If you want to install an app that isn't available in the Microsoft Store, you'll need to switch out of S mode.

Important: Microsoft accounts, the Windows operating system, and other Microsoft products include passwords to help secure your information.This article provides some options that you can use to reset or recover your password if you forget it. Be aware that, if these options don’t work, Microsoft support can't help you retrieve or circumvent a lost or forgotten password.

To check activation status in Windows 11, select the Start button, and then select Settings > System and then select Activation .. Your activation status will be listed next to Activation.. Check activation status in Settings. You'll see one of these activation status messages on the Activation page:

If you can’t locate a lost file from your backup, then you can use Windows File Recovery, which is a command line app available from the Microsoft Store.Use this app to try to recover lost files that have been deleted from your local storage device (including internal drives, external drives, and USB devices) and can’t be restored from the Recycle Bin.

In Outlook, you have the option to: Attach a file | Upload a locally saved file to your OneDrive | Insert a picture into the body of a message | Attach an email item | Solve problems with attachments. Attach a file to an email message in new Outlook. New Outlook keeps track of the files you have worked on recently and suggests them whenever you decide you want to attach a file to an email message.

Do one of the following: If you've never used Easy Connect, select Use Easy Connect.. If you've used Easy Connect before, select your helper’s contact name. To invite someone who isn't on your contact list, select Invite someone to help you.

Enter your Email, phone, or Skype name in the first box if you know it.; In the Contact email address text box, type an email address where we can contact you or send your password reset link. Note that this email address should be different from the one you’re trying to recover. In the third text box, type the characters displayed on the screen.

Tips: If you don't see the OneDrive icon, OneDrive might not be running. On a PC, go to Start, type OneDrive in the search box, and then click OneDrive in the search results. You might need to click the Show hidden icons arrow next to the notification area to see the OneDrive icons. On a Mac, use Spotlight to search for OneDrive and open it.
