There are some common two-step verification problems that seem to happen more frequently than any of us would like. We've put together this article to describe fixes for the most common problems.

Why accounts are locked and disabled. Microsoft accounts are usually locked if the account holder has violated our Microsoft Services Agreement.Here are some common reasons why accounts are locked, though not all account locks occur for these reasons:

Find Teams on the web at https://teams.microsoft.com.. To use Teams, you need a Microsoft 365 account with a Business or Enterprise Microsoft 365 license plan. If either of the categories above apply to you, use the following procedures to update your browser: Update once. In the browser, go to Settings and more > Help and feedback > About Microsoft Edge (edge://settings/help).. If the About page shows Microsoft Edge is up to date., you don't need to do anything.

Notes: If you don't see Go to Microsoft Store on the Activation page, contact your organization's support person.. If you made a substantial hardware changes to your device (such as replacing the motherboard) and you have a valid product key, try to activate Windows by phone.

If you try to add an IMAP account to Outlook, for example a Gmail account, Apple account, Yahoo account, or an account from your local ISP, and you're not prompted to enter your password, use the following steps to work around the problem.

That verification method isn’t working right now: Sometimes the block may be tied to the verification method you are using.Try using another verification method connected to your account. For example, if you are using SMS to verify yourself and are hitting a block, try using an alternate email that is connected to the account to receive your authorization code.

In the search box on the taskbar, type Manage BitLocker and then select it from the list of results. Or, select the Start button, and then under Windows System, select Control Panel.In Control Panel, select System and Security, and then under BitLocker Drive Encryption, select Manage BitLocker. Note: You'll only see this option if BitLocker is available for your device.
