1. Sign in with your Microsoft account. You will be prompted to Sign in with Microsoft account. If you have an existing Microsoft account on your mobile device then you will be asked to confirm your account, then click Continue.. If you don't have an existing Microsoft account on your mobile device then you will be asked to sign into your account or create a new one, then click Continue.

Notes: If you know your password, but just want to change it, go to account.microsoft.com Security tab, and select Change my password. If you know your username and password but they have stopped working, read My username and password have stopped working.

If you're trying to add your Outlook.com account to Outlook or another mail app, you might need the POP, IMAP, or SMTP settings. You can find them below or by viewing them in your Outlook.com settings.. Outlook and Outlook.com may be able to detect your account's mailbox settings automatically, but for other non-Microsoft accounts, you may need to contact your email provider for their settings.

To open the Start menu—which contains all your apps, settings, and files—you can do any of the following: On the center or left end of the taskbar, select the Start icon.

To change the default app, you can do either of the following: Set a default for a file type or link type In the search bar, enter the file type or link type you want, then select it from the list of results.

Learn how to use Remote Desktop in Windows. On your Windows, Android, or iOS device: Open the Remote Desktop app (available for free from Microsoft Store, Google Play, and the Mac App Store), and add the name of the PC that you want to connect to (from Step 1). Select the remote PC name that you added, and then wait for the connection to complete.

The easiest way to get language packs for Windows 8.1 and Windows RT is to download and install them using the Language Control Panel. Download and install additional languages to view menus, dialog boxes, and other user interface items in your preferred language.

Or, if Word is already open, select File > New > Blank document.. To create a document using a template. Open Word. Or, if Word is already open, select File > New.
