To increase security and performance, Windows 11 in S mode only runs apps from the Microsoft Store. If you want to install an app that isn't available in the Microsoft Store, or if you have Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, or Education and want to upgrade to Windows 11, you'll need to permanently switch out of S mode.

In Windows 11, it is essential that you link your Microsoft account with the Windows 11 digital license on your device. Linking your Microsoft account with your digital license allows you to reactivate Windows using the Activation troubleshooter whenever you make a significant hardware change.

The Health report starts off by showing you the last time a Device Health scan was run. The time displayed should be basically the current time, as Windows Security tries to run a Device Health scan when you open the Device performance & health page.. In addition to the File menu, you can turn this feature on or off right from the context menu of a One Drive or SharePoint-hosted Word, Excel, or PowerPoint document URL appearing in a Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook Windows application. The context menu also allows you to choose a one-time file open behavior for a specific link by using the Open With menu option.
