Why accounts are locked and disabled. Microsoft accounts are usually locked if the account holder has violated our Microsoft Services Agreement.Here are some common reasons why accounts are locked, though not all account locks occur for these reasons:

Turn on Find my device. When you set up a new device, you can decide whether to turn on or turn off the Find my device setting. If you turned it off during setup and now want to turn it on, make sure your Windows device is connected to the internet, has enough battery power so it can send its location, and that you're signed in to the device using your Microsoft account.

To activate Windows 11 using an internet connection: As Windows 11 will automatically activate if you are connected to the internet, you can confirm your activation status by selecting Start > Settings > System > Activation and looking under Windows.. You can apply sensitivity labels to your files and emails to keep them compliant with your organization's information protection policies. Sensitivity labels are configured by your administrator and because they're published to users rather than locations such as sites and mailboxes, users in the same organization might see different sensitivity labels to apply.

Note: If you have a built-in display that can play streaming HDR video, but doesn’t support HDR games and apps, use Display calibration for HDR video found in Settings > System > Display > HDR.. To check if your display supports HDR games and apps, under Display capabilities on the HDR settings screen, see if the selected display says Use HDR is Supported or Not supported.
