When you input Japanese characters on a contentEditable element by using Japanese Input Method Editor (IME), the caret may jump to an incorrect place, or a composition string may disappear. When you input Korean (Hangul) characters on a contentEditable element by using Korean IME, a composition string may be committed unexpectedly.
Turn on East Asian language features in Office for Mac
Open any Microsoft 365 for Mac application. For example, Word. Click the Word menu, or the menu for the Microsoft 365 application you opened, and then select Preferences. Under Authoring and Proofing Tools, click East Asian Languages. Select Japanese , Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese.
