Block you from uninstalling a program through Add or Remove Programs (or Programs and Features) in Control Panel. If you're trying to remove malware, you can use Windows Security (or another antivirus tool), or you can use the Windows Malicious Software Removal tool.

There are different ways to remove apps and programs, so if you can't find the one you're looking for, you can try another location. Note that some apps and programs are built into Windows and can't be uninstalled. You can try to repair a program first, if it's just not running correctly.

To complete the installation and activation steps, follow the prompts in the following install and activation sections. Tip: Don't see an install option after signing in? There could be an issue with your account. Select Need help? from above and review the solutions under Account questions.

Alternatively, if installation doesn't start automatically, browse the disc to find the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe or Install.exe. Open the file to start installation.

Be sure you're connected to the Internet and then open any application, such as Word or Excel. In most cases, the Office or Microsoft 365 apps are activated once you start an application and after you click Accept to agree to the Microsoft Software License terms.
