Microsoft Edge. With Microsoft Edge, you can install and manage applications from your favorite web sites onto your devices for fast access. Use the edge://apps page to see your installed applications and manage app permissions. You can sort installed applications by installation date, recently used and alphabetically.

Windows 11 Windows 10. You can repair some apps and programs if they're not running correctly. Note that you won't see repair, change, or modify options for all apps and programs. Repair options from the Settings page. Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Apps & features in Settings.

Windows 10. Select the Start button and scroll to find the app you want to run at startup. Right-click the app, select More, and then select Open file location. This opens the location where the shortcut to the app is saved. If there isn't an option for Open file location, it means the app can't run at startup.

Set defaults for applications. Select an app to see what file types or link types it can open. If you want to change something, select the file or link type, then choose your preferred app. Open Default apps. Use Settings in Windows 10 to change default apps and programs.

Runtime Broker is a Windows process in Task Manager that helps manage permissions on your PC for apps from Microsoft Store. It should only use a few megabytes of memory, but in some cases, a faulty app might cause Runtime Broker to use up to a gigabyte of RAM or more.

In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager. Select a category to see names of devices, then right-click (or press and hold) the one you’d like to update. Select Search automatically for updated driver software. Select Update Driver.

Windows 10. Most apps have their own settings—look for a gear icon in the app. Note: For some apps, you'll need to select the More icon before selecting the Settings icon. Look for the gear icon in the app for its settings.

Access all your files, peripheral devices, apps, programs, and registry: The app has the ability to read or write to all your files (including documents, pictures, and music) and registry settings, which allows the app to make changes to your computer and settings.

Install the Amazon Appstore. To install the Amazon Appstore, you'll need to install it from the Microsoft Store. Get the Amazon Appstore. After it's finished installing, the Amazon Appstore and the Windows Subsystem for Android™ Settings app will appear in the Start menu and your app list.
