Repair Outlook Data Files (.pst and .ost) - Microsoft Support
All Outlook Data Files (.pst) and Offline Data Files (.ost) are listed along with the name of the account the files are associated with. If you cannot open your Outlook data file or suspect that the file is damaged, use the Inbox Repair tool (scanpst.exe) to repair errors in the file.

Fix your Outlook email connection by repairing your profile
Choose Account Settings > Account Settings. On the Email tab, choose your account (profile), and then choose Repair. Note: The Repair option isn't available if you're using Outlook 2016 to connect to an Exchange account. Follow the prompts in the wizard, and when you’re done, restart Outlook.

Select Apps > Install this site as an app. Use Outlook in Google Chrome. In Google Chrome, sign in to Outlook on the web or Outlook.com account.
