There are two Recycle Bins, the site Recycle Bin (first-stage) and site collection Recycle Bin (second-stage). The default retention period for any item is 30 days.

These language packs must be installed by a server farm administrator—that is, someone in your IT organization who has the appropriate permission levels to download language packs onto your organization's server computers.

On modern communication sites, select Site contents, and then click Recycle bin in the top navigation bar. If you don't see the Recycle Bin, and you do have permissions, try the following steps.

The recycle bin is in the top right portion of the Site Contents page. On the Recycle bin page, click the box to the left of the items or files you want to restore.

Fixes an issue in which the file URL in the "Shared with Me" modern view points to the publishing farm "my site" instead of to the site from where it is shared in a publishing or consuming scenario across the farm.

This functionality will be enabled regardless of whether the farm administrator has configured the farm to be in the "Early release" or "Standard release" feature release ring. Select the items that you want to copy, and then select Copy to. Or, for the item, select More > Copy to.

Deleting lists can only be done by SharePoint or network administrators and farm administrators on SharePoint Server versions. Deleting large lists requires database resources that can be blocked by the List View Threshold.

There is an easy way to bypass the Recycle Bin altogether. NOTE: If you delete a file or folder from a resource that is not local (such as a network computer), the file or folder does not go to the Recycle Bin, the item is instantly deleted.

Your deleted files and folders go to the OneDrive recycle bin from which you can restore files if you need to. To permanently delete specific files or folders from the recycle bin, select those items, then select Delete in the top navigation.
