To get the latest version of DirectX for your version of Windows, use Windows Update. If you have Windows 10 or 11, then you already have the latest version of DirectX installed. Note: Not all versions of Windows can run the latest versions of DirectX.

Download the drivers for the desired device from the device manufacturer's site. Make sure to download the correct drivers that match the version and architecture of Windows. Once downloaded, if necessary, uncompress the downloaded drivers. Make a note of where the drivers are located on the Windows device.
