Take a snapshot to copy words or images from all or part of your PC screen. Use Snipping Tool to make changes or notes, then save, and share. Capture any of the following types of snips: Draw a freeform shape around an object. Drag the cursor around an object to form a rectangle. Select a window, such as a dialog box, that you want to capture.

If you can't find an app or program, try the tips in See all your apps in Windows 10 and Program is not listed in add/remove programs after installation. If you get an error message when you're uninstalling, try the Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter.

Snapshots are taken periodically while content on the screen is different from the previous snapshot. Your snapshots are then locally stored and locally analyzed on your PC. Recall’s analysis allows you to search for content, including both images and text, using natural language.

To find your game clips and screenshots, select Start > Settings > Gaming > Captures, then under Captures location, select Open folder. To change where your game clips are saved, use File Explorer to move the Captures folder anywhere you want on your PC.
