When you use Microsoft Outlook to add or to remove a delegate, the delegate is not added or deleted. Additionally, you receive the following error message: The Delegates settings were not saved correctly.

You can only assign delegates to your primary calendar (named Calendar).

Delegated permissions are not available to all users in an organizational unit. Inheritance is automatically disabled on some user accounts approximately one time an hour. Users who previously had delegated permissions, no longer have them.

Delegate Access goes beyond just sharing access to your folders. Delegates are granted additional permissions, such as creating email messages or responding to meeting requests on your behalf. See Manage another person's mail and calendar items to learn how delegates can perform these tasks.

Using Delegate Access , you can give someone permission to act on your behalf. For example, you might have an assistant that you want to create and respond to meeting requests for you. Some assistants might also monitor a manager's Inbox and send email on behalf his or her behalf.

Delegate access can be granted on Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac, Outlook on the web, Outlook for iOS, and Outlook for Android. After installing the July 2021 and later updates, non-administrators, including delegated admin groups like printer operators, cannot install signed and unsigned printer drivers to a print server. By default, only administrators can install both signed and unsigned printer drivers to a print server.

Windows 10. Credential Manager lets you view and delete your saved credentials for signing in to websites, connected applications, and networks. To open Credential Manager, type credential manager in the search box on the taskbar and select Credential Manager Control panel.

Share a phone line with a delegate in Microsoft Teams. You can pick someone in Teams to be your delegate—a person who can receive and make calls on your behalf. When you add a delegate, you’re essentially sharing your phone line with them, so they can see and share all of your calls.

Try it! Add a delegate to answer or make calls on your behalf in Microsoft Teams. Select your profile photo. Select Settings > General, and then select Manage delegates. Select Your delegates and type the person's name. Choose which permissions to give them, and then select Add. Your delegate gets notified about their new status.
