Download the drivers for the desired device from the device manufacturer's site. Make sure to download the correct drivers that match the version and architecture of Windows. First, you'll need to download the troubleshooter. Download troubleshooter. If you see the File Download box when you start downloading, select Run or Open. DISM provides the files required to repair your corrupted files. You should run DISM prior to running the System File Checker. To do this: Open an elevated command prompt. Type cmd in the Search box. In the search results, right-click Command Prompt, and then select Run as administrator.

When you select an AppFix, you can start the program executable (.exe) file, and the AppFix is applied. If a suitable AppFix is found, the tool eventually helps you generate and test matching file information.
