Insert the disc into your PC or external CD-DVD drive, and then follow the instructions on your screen. You might be asked for an admin password. If install doesn't start automatically, check your AutoPlay settings. Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > AutoPlay. Make sure AutoPlay is turned On.

Clean the disc with a soft, clean, slightly damp cloth. Hold the disc by the edges without touching the top or bottom surface. Playing the disc on another console will help you figure out whether the problem is with the individual disc or the console's disc drive.

In Windows, a CD or DVD drive may not appear in File Explorer and may show a yellow exclamation point in Device Manager. This issue usually indicates a driver or configuration problem, and an error code may appear in the device’s Properties under Device status.

You can find the tool in the Xbox app by selecting your gamerpic > Support > Drive Compatibility Tool. Note that the link to the tool will only appear if an incompatible drive is attached. If the drive repair is unsuccessful, try restarting your device and running the tool again.
