Here’s how to record game clips and capture screenshots of your best gaming moments. Once taken, captures can be edited and uploaded to the Xbox network, where you can enjoy them everywhere you use Xbox: console, phone and mobile device, and Windows devices. Once they’re uploaded, they can be shared—on your profile’s activity feed, or in a message.
Use Snipping Tool to capture screenshots - Microsoft Support
To capture a video snip, open Snipping Tool, select the Record button, then select New, or press Windows logo key + Shift + R. Select the area of the screen you wish to record, then select Start. When you are done, select Stop. At this point you can save the recording as-is or select Edit in Clipchamp to work with it in the Clipchamp video editor.
Take a screenshot or record your screen on Surface
To record your screen on Windows 11: Windows 10 users can record their screen with Clipchamp. Find out how to do a screen recording with Clipchamp. Select Start , enter Snipping Tool in the search bar, and select it from the results. See Use Snipping Tool to capture screenshots for more information. Select the Video icon, then select New .

Adjust capture settings on Windows | Xbox Support
To change your capture settings, press the Start button , and then select Settings > Gaming > Captures. The following sections cover the capture settings you can adjust. Near the top of the Captures screen, you’ll see a section displaying the folder location where screenshots and game clips are automatically stored.
Back up your game captures | Xbox Support
To back up the captures you’ve selected, choose Upload to OneDrive. This option adds the selected captures to your OneDrive account but does not delete them from the console or the Xbox network. You can manually select captures to upload to OneDrive, or choose Select all to move them all at once.

Keyboard shortcut for print screen - Microsoft Support
To locate your screenshots, open File Explorer from the taskbar. On the side navigation pane, select the Pictures folder, and select Screenshots. View the full list of keyboard shortcuts. You can also use Snipping Tool to capture screenshots.
