[Input and Composition] Fixed: An issue affecting the complete removal of unused language packs and Feature on Demand (FOD) packages. This issue led to unnecessary storage use and increased Windows update installation time.

This article describes a hotfix that enables you to use Package Installation Wizard (Dtsinstall.exe) to run the deployment manifest file of a SQL Server Integration Services 2008 (SSIS 2008) package on a computer on which SSIS 2008 is not installed.

Regsvr32 is a command-line utility to register and unregister OLE controls, such as DLLs and ActiveX controls in the Windows Registry. Regsvr32.exe is installed in the %systemroot%\System32 folder in Windows XP and later versions of Windows. The 64-bit version is %systemroot%\System32\regsvr32.exe.

To get the standalone package for this update, go to Microsoft Update Catalog. To remove the LCU after installing the combined SSU and LCU package, use the DISM/Remove-Package command line option with the LCU package name as the argument. You can find the package name by using this command: DISM /online /get-packages.

Install language accessory packs after installing Microsoft Office, to add additional display, help, or proofing tools. Install the language accessory pack for your desired language.
