After you find a font that you would like to use with an Office application, you can download it and install it through the operating system that you are currently using on your computer. Because fonts work with the operating system, they are not downloaded to Office directly.

To add a font to Word, download and install the font in Windows, where it will become available to all Microsoft 365 applications. Fonts come as files, and there are many sites on the Internet where you can download free fonts, such as DaFont .

Use cloud fonts to make sure your slides and documents look the same, no matter where you open them or who else views them. Cloud fonts are fonts hosted in the cloud by Microsoft 365, and are available in the latest versions of Office applications (see the Cloud fonts availability table, below).

The backstage view in Publisher, which is accessed by clicking File > Info includes Business Information, Design Checker, and Embedded Font Information for your publication. You can create, view, and edit the business information set for your publication, run the Design Checker to preview potential problems and fixes for your publication, and manage fonts and substitution.
