To share a OneNote notebook, it must be saved in OneDrive or a SharePoint site. If you see "Please upload your notebook to share it", pick an account to share from. Choose Copy link. Tip: Select Link settings to manage link access. If you change your mind, you can change permissions or stop sharing your notebook.

Once the notebook is created, you’ll receive a prompt to invite people to it, or you can share the notebook later by clicking the Share button on the upper right corner. After you create the notebook, you can email teammates and colleagues a link to the notebook.

To continue creating and editing notes, please use the OneNote app for Windows, available in the Microsoft Store, if it is not already included on your device, to begin the process. After signing into the updated app and opening your selection of notebooks, you're done!

To share a Microsoft 365 file from the app, like a PowerPoint, Word, or Excel file: In the top right corner, select Share. Select Share again. Note: Selecting and sharing multiple items at the same time is not available in SharePoint or OneDrive for work or school. Instead, add the items to a folder and share the folder.
