View, manage, and install add-ins for Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. When you enable an add-in, it adds custom commands and new features to Microsoft 365 programs that help increase your productivity. Because add-ins can be used by attackers to do harm to your computer, you can use add-in security settings to help protect yourself.

After installing the April 2021 security update to Microsoft Office, some automation add-ins for Excel may not load and you could see a “ Cannot run the macro ” error message. STATUS: WORKAROUND. You can repair some apps and programs if they're not running correctly. Note that you won't see repair, change, or modify options for all apps and programs. Repair options from the Settings page. Select Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps. Select the More icon next to the app you want to fix.
